Popstar Justin Timberlake, who is currently on his Man Of The Woods Tour, had to postpone his show last night at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

“Hey guys, I’m sorry to announce I have to postpone the show at MSG tonight at doctor’s orders,” Timberlake said in a tweet. “My vocal chords are severely bruised. I’m gonna make it up to you and the new show will be on my birthday, January 31. More info to come. Again I’m so sorry to do this, but excited to see you soon. Love, J.”

Timberlake has been touring in support of his latest record, Man of the Woods, since March. He is currently on the second leg of the tour, and is due to play next in Buffalo, New York this Sunday, followed by shows in cities like Vancouver, Portland, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Charlotte, and Houston. The trek, originally due to end in Denver, will now wrap-up next January for the postponed MSG show.

Man of the Woods is Timberlake’s fourth studio album, following 2013’s The 20/20 Experience. The LP, which dropped in February, features singles “Filthy,” “Supplies,” and “Say Something,” along with the hit track “Sauce.” In July, he released the surprise single “SoulMate.”

In addition to music, Timberlake is also due to release his first book, Hindsight & All Things I Can’t See in Front of Me, on October 30 via HarperCollins. The book will feature his own reflections and anecdotes throughout his 26-year career.
