George Strait announced a show at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth in 2019, and when tickets went on sale on Friday, the gig was sold-out in half an hour.

Fans reportedly waited in a queue that was thousands of people long, and when the 14,000-seat arena sold-out in under an hour, tickets were popping up on resale sites for quadruple the price. Fans shared screenshots of the queue, which showed that “2,000+” people were in line in front of them.

After waiting in the queue, many were able to access Ticketmaster’s verified resale tickets – some which added up to $800 per seat. The would-be concert goers lashed out at the ticketing site, noting that an easier system should have been implemented.
