For the first time in a decade, Philadelphia singer-songwriter Kurt Vile will hit the road for a solo tour across North America.

The 22-date outing kicks-off early April in Chicago, Illinois, followed by gigs in San Francisco, Philadelphia, Woodstock, Santa Cruz, and Pittsburgh. Along the way, he’ll stop at intimate venues like New York’s Town Hall, Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Theatre, and Seattle’s Neptune Theatre before wrapping-up at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas mid-May. During the tour, Vile will be joined by his backing band The Violators, with support on each date from Cate Le Bon, as well as drummer Stella Mozgawa and Stephen Black.

Last year, Vile released the LP Bottle It In, which features tracks “One Trick Ponies” and “Bassackwards.” The record follows 2015’s b’lieve i’m goin down…, as well as his joint album with Courtney Barnett in 2017, Lotta Sea Lice. This past September, he dropped the track “Baby’s Arms” with The Sadies and was featured on a Wilco covers album. Vile is best-known for his solo work, as well as the former lead guitarist of the rock group The War On Drugs.
