The iconic pop-punk groups New Found Glory and Simple Plan are joining forces this summer for a co-headlining trek.

“It’s finally happening!!” Simple Plan said in a statement. “It took almost 20 years, but we are really stoked to announce that we are heading out on tour this summer with our friends New Found Glory on the “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour”! This is the first time we’ve ever toured together and we can’t wait! We’ll be playing all over the US and bringing Knuckle Puck as our special guests so you know it’s gonna be RAD!”

The “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour” kicks-off in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 29, followed by shows in Silver Spring, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Chicago. Along the way, they’ll make stops at smaller venues like New York City’s Rooftop at Pier 17, the House of Blues Boston, Denver’s Mission Ballroom, and the UC Theater in Berkeley before wrapping-up at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas late June. Knuckle Puck, a rising punk group, will provide support.

Both Simple Plan and New Found Glory have been pretty quiet in the music scene over the past few years, but are gearing up to release new music. New Found Glory’s 10th studio album, Forever + Ever x Infinity, is due May 29th via Hopeless Records and follows 2017’s Makes Me Sick. The band is best-known for hits throughout the early 2000’s, including “My Friends Over You” and “Head on Collision” from 2002’s Sticks and Stones.

Simple Plan hasn’t released music since 2016’s Taking One for the Team, but are reportedly working on a new full-length, due sometime this year. They began to garner attention in the early 2000’s as well, topping charts with their 4x platinum record Still Not Getting Any… in 2004, made famous for “Welcome To My Life,” “Shut Up!” and “Crazy.”
