Live Nation has officially entered the Southeast Asian market with the launch of a new live music venue in Singapore.

The entertainment giant will open the venue in partnership with Lendlease Global Commercial REIT, supported by the Singapore Tourism Board. The 3,000-capacity music hall will include multiple rooms and stages, with the ability to host both developing and established international acts, as well as local artists.

The venue is also set to include a cafe and bar that can be used as a smaller event space. Live Nation noted in a press release that it will operate the venue “at its highest standards, creating significant local employment opportunities and contributing to Singapore’s economic growth.”

Greg Gillin, Senior Vice President of Venue Development of Live Nation Asia, noted in the release that Live Nation is “pleased to expand the live music market in Singapore,” giving local eventgoers the opportunity to engage in cultural and music activities within the performance spaces.

Jean Ng, assistance chief executive of the Experience Development Group of the Singapore Tourism Board, echoed similar sentiments, noting in a statement that “it is exciting to see Live Nation and LREIT’s commitment to developing the Grange Road event space as Asia’s first flagship entertainment venue along the iconic Orchard Road.”

“This initiative will contribute significantly to the ongoing rejuvenation of Orchard Road, expand the lifestyle offerings in the precinct and boost its attractiveness to locals and visitors,” Ng said. “By working closely with our industry partners, we are cementing Orchard Road’s position as a must-visit lifestyle destination, while affirming Singapore’s reputation as the region’s live entertainment capital.”

This is the latest move for Live Nation; the promoter giant recently revealed a new venue in Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as the acquisition of Portugal’s MEO Arena. In the states, Live Nation will introduce a new 1,300-capacity venue in Memphis, Tennessee.
