The indie-rockers of The Black Keys made headlines last year after calling-off their entire tour. Now, the duo announced a brief outing this summer to support their forthcoming record.
The “No Rain No Flowers” tour will kick-off on May 23 at the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma. From there, they’ll appear in Boise, Berkeley, Austin, and Wilmington, stopping at venues like Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles before wrapping-up at Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater on June 12.
Throughout the run, The Heavy Heavy and Hermanos Gutierrez will provide support, varying per date.
The Black Keys will be touring in support of their yet-to-be-named 13th studio record, due later this year via Easy Eye Sound and Warner Records. The duo said that the record will contain an “eclectic, at times unexpected sound,” inspired by their dance parties.
Ahead of the U.S. dates, The Black Keys will perform at the Innings Festival in Tempe, followed by appearances in Lima, Bogota, Mexico City, and Monterrey. Shortly after the U.S. run, they’ll head overseas for shows across the UK and Europe, including sets at Italy’s AMA Music Festival, Rock In Roma, Odense’s Tinderbox Festival, and Festival Internacional De Benicassim in Spain.
Tickets for the newly-announced U.S. dates head on sale Friday, February 7 at 10 a.m. local time here. Fans can also score resale tickets via Ticket Club (use code TICKETNEWS for a free, one-year membership offer).

Notably, the upcoming tour is the band’s first run after cancelling their 2024 arena tour and firing their managers. At the time, the band did not announce a reason for the cancellation, but noted that they’ve decided to “make some changes” to the tour that will “enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band.”
The industry quickly turned to the conclusion that the event was another victim of aggressively high pricing that promoters and artists have pursued in the post-COVID touring scene. Before the tour was called-off, screenshots began to circulate, showing the mass ticket availability on Ticketmaster.
This began the discussion of slow ticketing; this system allows organizers to set the highest-possible price for tickets, based on what they believe fans would be willing to pay. Then, following the initial rush of ticket sales (where super-fans are purchasing tickets and snatching up the must-buy seats), ticket prices slowly drop over time. Slow ticketing doesn’t always pay off, however, as fans are constantly complaining of high ticket prices — even sparking a lawsuit by the Department of Justice against entertainment giant Live Nation and its ticketing subsidiary Ticketmaster.
In this case, it seems that The Black Keys have finally listened to fans and granted their wish: to return to smaller venues.
