3 Doors Down has postponed the next seven dates on their current tour, according to a statement on the band’s Web site.

Originally, the band had announced on September 4 that three shows would be postponed due to lead singer Brad Arnold’s diagnosis with acute laryngitis. However, the band was forced to extend the time off to the next seven engagements to allow Arnold additional recovery time.

Last night’s September 10 performance at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville, KY, was the first affected show. The remaining postponed performances are: September 12 in Scranton, PA; September 13 in Columbia, MD; September 14 in Virginia Beach, VA; September 16 in Raleigh, NC; September 17 in Charlotte, NC; and September 19 in Bossier City, LA.

In the statement, the band said that the rescheduled dates for the performances would be announced in the near future. Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored for the new dates.
