Afrojack, a Dutch music sensation and DJ, announced the second leg of his Jacked tour for late 2012. He will be traveling across the U.S. during October and November on an 18-date tour.
The 3 month long international first leg of the Jacked tour is currently in progress, with stops in Spain, South Africa, and India. The first leg wraps up at the beginning of October, allowing only a few days for Afrojack to recuperate before heading out again.
The Jacked tour will start off in Las Vegas at the Tryst Lounge on October 25. Stops along the way include 3 Las Vegas nightclubs, The Bryce Jordan Center at Pennsylvania State University on November 6, Mansion Nightclub in Miami on November 9, and the Electric Daisy Festival in Orlando. The tour will come to an end in Los Angeles with two nights of shows; on November 23 at the Hollywood Palladium and on November 24 at the Greystone Manor.
Multiple artists will be joining Afrojack on various dates along the course of the tour, including: Sidney Samson, Shermanology, Quintino, Bobby Burns, and Zawdi MC. Tickets are on sale now, but are not expected to last long. Afrojack will be showing off an out of this world electrical show, as well as a preview of his upcoming and highly anticipated, yet to be named album.
One thing is for sure, Afrojack is determined to make the Jacked tour one big party for all. In an interview with Southern Florida Music Obsessed he said, “I was touring for a long time on my own and then when I had support acts with me it was just a LOT of fun, and that also made the party way more fun, so I decided to do a tour with some of my music friends and party it up…. I’ve known them for a really long time, so they’re good friends, and I see some serious potential in them.”
With a large list of accomplishments, Afrojack has made himself a worldwide star over the course of his musical career. According to Afrojack.com, he made a name for himself in his home country of Holland. The release of his first full-length studio album in 2011 “Take Over Control” went platinum in the U.S.
A press release about the tour explains Afrojack’s rise in the music industry stating, “In the span of less than two years, Afrojack has become one of electronic dance music’s major icons… In addition to all of this, his DJ sets have fast become both iconic and unparalleled, providing an explosive take on the current state of dance music across the board.”
His most recent accomplishments include 2 Grammy awards, for Best Remix in 2011, and Best Rap/Hip Hop track in 2011. He has collaborated with many of today’s most influential artists such as: Beyonce, Chris Brown, David Guetta, Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and more.
Afrojack wrote, produced and was featured in the song “Give Me Everything,” with Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and Nayer. The song quickly moved to the top of the charts, and was considered one of the anthems summer 2011. He topped the charts again with “Can’t Stop Me” and “Rock the House” this past summer. With hard work and a lot of passion, Afrojack has made a name for himself as an influential music icon around the world.
