Dresden Dolls vocalist Amanda Palmer is days away from launching her solo world tour. The 23-date European leg begins September 27 in Dublin, IRE, and continues through the end of October before the punk-cabaret chanteuse returns to the States for an additional 22-show run.

The U.S. dates begin November 12 at Mercy Lounge in Nashville, TN, and continue through December 16 at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Along the way, Palmer will perform November 21 at Webster Hall in New York, NY, and November 24-25 at the Paradise Rock Club in her hometown of Boston, MA. A single Canadian engagement is booked for November 30 at Mod Club Theatre in Toronto, ON.

Australian-based performers The Danger Ensemble are accompanying Palmer throughout the tour.

Palmer is touring in support of her debut solo album, “Who Killed Amanda Palmer,” which was produced by her fellow pianist-rocker Ben Folds. The disc was released digitally on September 8 and physically on September 16, and has so far reached a peak position of No. 77 on the Billboard 200.

The singer-songwriter and pianist is best known as half of the theatrical “Brechtian punk cabaret” duo The Dresden Dolls. Under the Dolls moniker, Palmer and drummer Brian Viglione have released two studio albums — most recently 2006’s “Yes, Virginia…” which peaked at No. 42 on the charts. The band supported Nine Inch Nails on tour in 2005, and also joined Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Tour in 2007.
