Brian Wilson, the undisputed genius behind The Beach Boys, will tour this summer, first in the UK, then Canada and finally the U.S. Kicking off June 28 in London, England, the tour hits Niagra Falls, ON on July 8 and Highmount, NY on July 12. There is a huge void in his itinerary for two months until a three- night stand September 12-14 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles that will probably be filled with additional shows.

Wilson is one of popular music’s most deeply revered figures, a legendary writer, producer, arranger and performer of some of the most cherished music in rock history. Having just re-signed with Capitol Records /EMI, his original label, Wilson’s new studio recording, “That Lucky Old Sun,” will be released on CD, CD/DVD, limited edition vinyl and digital download on September 2 in the U.S. and a day earlier internationally.

Capitol Records/EMI is where The Beach Boys caught their first hit wave with the 1962 classic, “Surfin’ Safari/409.”

In a press release for the new album, Wilson describes “That Lucky Old Sun” as an “interwoven series of ’rounds’ with interspersed spoken word.”
