Five cast members from some of this year’s hottest musicals will perform over four nights to a live audience for broadcast. These shows will become part of PBS’ Live From Lincoln Center at the Appel Room, the 17-time Emmy winning series that brings some of New York’s greatest artistic talents to television.

The newest concert-turned-episodes will feature Tony winners and/or nominees Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton), Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon), Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie) with guest star Jonathon Groff (Hamilton), and Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos). The shows will be held at New York City’s Appel Room at the Lincoln Center overlooking Central Park on December 19-22. The Broadway vets will perform at 7:30 each evening in the above order.

“Experience musical theater’s biggest stars up close in the elegant intimacy of The Appel Room. Four nights only”, boasts The Lincoln Center website. “Each hour-long, cabaret-style performance is crafted around signature songs and music that has shaped each artist’s journey, all performed with a world-class band and the occasional surprise guest”. All shows will be filmed and will air on PBS for the Live From Lincoln Center series in the spring of 2018, as well as online on Broadway HD.
