Following his late fall tour of the UK, Bryan Adams will return to the States for a series of acoustic concerts late in the 2008 season. The stripped-down solo sets kick off November 28 at Town Hall in Seattle, WA, and continue through December 7 at Ikeda Theatre in Mesa, AZ.

The Canadian rocker will focus on the West Coast for the announced nine-date trek, which includes a December 2 gig at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco, CA, and a December 5 performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. All dates of the solo trek are now available through public on-sales.

Adams has already completed two tour legs in North America supporting the May 13 U.S. release of his new album, “11.” He kicked off his first run of dates in early May and returned for a second round of concerts in July and August, during which he opened for Foreigner and Rod Stewart‘s respective tours.

Throughout the 2008 season, the singer-songwriter has been performing cuts from the new album in intimate and acoustic solo shows. “I think for a lot of people that haven’t heard me do [an acoustic show] before, it will be intriguing because to play a song like ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ on acoustic guitar is quite a different thing than hearing it with a full band,” Adams explained during a press teleconference over the summer. “I believe that that will give some insight into the songwriting, and it shows that some of the new songs blend in. It’s like one solid body of work.”

As the name of the album suggests, “11” is the eleventh studio album of original material from the rocker best known for the hit single “Summer of ’69.” Though the album topped the charts in other countries, it had a more modest showing in the U.S., peaking at No. 7 on the Independent Album chart and only reaching No. 80 on the Billboard 200.
