The financial and auto industries are not the only ones getting a bail out. Organizers of the CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival, to be held in New York City from October 20-24, are offering what they are calling the CMJ ’09 Recession Special.

Limited to the first 250 badges purchased through February 17, badges to the music and film festival come with guaranteed admission to one show of the registrant’s choice. Registrants must submit three preferred show selections to CMJ in advance, and CMJ will guarantee admission to one of them.

Badges are $110 (students) and $325 (non-students). The first 100 people taking advantage of this deal will receive a free, commemorative CMJ ’08 T-shirt.

In more discount offerings, college stations buying 10-19 badges ($110 each) will get 5 free badges; 20-39 badges ($100 each) will get 10 free badges; 40 or more badges ($75 each) will get 15 free badges.
