Coldplay, currently on the Viva La Vida world tour, has been forced to postpone two concerts on May 27 concert at Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, and May 29 at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA.

Both shows were canned because of an unspecified illness to an unspecified member of the band. The SPAC show was to be the launch of Live Nation’s concert series at the amphitheater.

In a post on the official Coldplay Web site, the band apologized for the SPAC show and said a rescheduling of the date is in the works. When both of the postponed shows are officially rescheduled, tickets for the original shows will be honored on the new dates.
