Pearl Jam has announced just two North American concerts for August — one in the U.S. and one in Canada — in addition to the band’s sparse festival and overseas commitments. Leonard Cohen also unveiled more concerts, but his plans are for more than 30 stops across Europe this summer.

In special event news, the ninth annual Joey Ramone Birthday Bash is scheduled for May 19 at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY. Also, ticket sales are close to opening for producer George Wein’s upcoming Folk Festival 50 in Newport, RI.

Bryan Adams has more than 20 concerts coming up on his current tour itinerary. He has six more shows left on a spring tour of the U.S., ending with a May 12 show at Kalamazoo State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI, followed by some new June dates in the U.S. and August dates in his native Canada. Adams’ next U.S. run starts June 1 at Lillie & Roy Cullen Theater in Houston, TX, and ends June 7 at Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha, NE. The Canadian jaunt goes from August 8 at sale Maurice O’Bready through August 15 at Massey Hall in Toronto, ON.

Pink will keep the “fun” going in the country a little longer than expected with a handful of new dates on her 2009 Funhouse Tour. The singer now has 11 shows in the U.S. and Canada booked from September 15 at WaMu Theater in Seattle, WA, through a recently announced show on October 5 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. Other new gigs are September 18 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; September 23 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX; September 26 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL; September 30 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON; and October 2 at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA.

Relient K is in the early stages of a headlining North American tour, with the next show coming up on May 9 at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. The band recently added a few more dates in U.S. and Canada in the middle of the tour on May 16 at Rushmore Theatre in Rapid City, SD; May 22 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB; May 23 at Birmingham Senior High in Van Nuys, CA; June 6 at Elitch Gardens in Denver, CO; and June 27 at Paramount Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan, ON. Relient K has dates booked through July, followed by scattered festival gigs, ending September 5 at Revelation Generation in Frenchtown, NJ.

Tracy Chapman has booked herself into a 22-date summer tour of Europe. The venture begins June 22 at Docklands in Cork, Ireland, and closes out with a July 27 concert at Cavea Auditorium Roma in Rome, Italy. Other performance stops include a June 24-25 stand at Roundhouse in London, England, a July 1 gig at Zenith Arena in Lille, France, a July 11 show at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and a July 17 set at Nuits de Fouviere at the Grand Theatre Romain in Lyon, France.
