The heat goes on for former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, who is currently traveling the nation for his Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno Tour. After completing the dates on his previously announced tour leg, the acclaimed singer-songwriter will be back on the road for a new round of U.S. dates in December and an early 2009 European tour.

After the first leg wraps November 9 at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, the tour’s 12-date addition picks up November 28 at the Center for the Arts in Buffalo, NY. After multiple dates in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, Byrne concludes his North American tour (for the time being) on December 13 at the Fillmore at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, FL.

In the New Year, Byrne will launch a tour overseas, which includes a 12-date run of mainland Europe and a 14-show stint in the UK. The 2009 tour begins March 9 at Tonhalle in Dusseldorf, GER, and closes April 14 at Brighton Dome in Brighton, UK. A two-night stand at London’s Royal Festival Hall is booked for April 12-13.

Byrne is touring in support of his most recent solo album and collaboration with producer Brian Eno, “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today,” released exclusively via the album’s Web site on August 18. During each night’s nearly two-hour show, Byrne has also been exploring his back-catalogue of music with Eno, which includes three popular Talking Heads albums.

The eclectic musician is joined on tour by Mark Degli Antoni (keys), Paul Frazier (bass), Mauro Refosco (percussion) and Graham Hawthorne (drums), as well as a chorus of background singers (Kaïssa, Redray Frazier and Jenni Muldaur) and a trio of modern dancers. While Byrne’s collaborations with Eno are celebrated on the tour, Eno himself is not scheduled to appear on any tour dates.
