Def Leppard postponed its August 10-11 shows at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN, and the Verizon Wireless Center in Pelham, AL, near Birmingham, respectively. The English rock band is touring with Poison and Cheap Trick this summer.

A post on the band’s official Web site said the postponement is due to “a band member’s bereavement.” According to the post, no other details are expected to be released.

15 for $15 with Napster!Ticket holders have been advised to keep their tickets, pending details of the concerts’ rescheduling. Refunds are available at the point of purchase, where applicable.

“We were looking forward to returning to Nashville and Birmingham,” said the band in a joint statement. “So we’re going to do all that we can to get back there soon.”
