Depeche Mode has posted a string of show cancellations as band frontman David Gahan undergoes treatment for gastroenteritis. The band was forced to postpone its May 12 concert at Terra Vibe Park in Athens, Greece, when Gahan was rushed to the hospital just before show time. A May 14 cancellation in Istantbul, Turkey, followed.

Now, four more dates have been cancelled — May 16 at Izvor Park in Bucharest, Romania; May 18 at Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia, Bulgaria; May 20 at USCE Park in Belgrade, Serbia; and May 21 at Arena in Zagreb, Croatia.

The band’s Web site advises ticketholders to hold on their tickets for word of rescheduled dates or final cancellations. In the case of cancellation, refunds will be available from the original point of purchase.
