Classic rock group Aerosmith will not be able to perform their February 1 headlining show at Estadio Olimpico in Caracas, Venezuela, as part of the three-day Solid Fest music festival. According to an announcement from the band, lead guitarist Joe Perry must undergo emergency knee surgery due to complications from an earlier surgery on the same knee.

Last March, Perry underwent total knee replacement surgery after putting the operation off for two years so he could fulfill the band’s live commitments. The concert would have marked Aerosmith’s first-ever performance in the country. The group is hoping to schedule another show in the future.

“Playing Venezuela was my idea of a perfect way to start the New Year,” said Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler in a statement, “but having heard Joe had to revisit the hospital this month, the band are truly disappointed we can’t be in Caracas, and we hope to see everyone there soon.”
