New York, NY- September 19th, 2017- This morning, the New York Stock Exchange welcomed non-profit organization Global Citizen to officially kick off Global Citizen Week. To honor the occasion, Global Citizen champion for health and hip-hop recording artist, French Montana was invited to ring the NYSE opening bell. This event follows last night’s Global Citizen Live! Uganda Health Moment, where French Montana was invited to speak about his #Unforgettable healthcare campaign, discuss his latest global initiatives and his interest in creating a movement that will bring unforgettable joy and opportunity to women, children and families in Uganda and across the globe. French shared the stage with Ugandan health worker and advocate, Denis Muwanguzi, Ugandan Member of Parliament, Bobi Wine.
In partnership with Mama Hope, since French’s initial donation of $100,000 to Suubi ‘Hope’ Health Center, the cause has delivered 321 babies, vaccinated 1,667 children, and provided antenatal health care to over 1,640 women. The #Unforgettable health care campaign has since become viral, enlisting support from The Weekend, Drake, DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, and others.
