The Genesis Turn It On Again tour recorded sellouts in Philadelphia and Chicago, prompting the addition of shows to those cities, but an earlier report of a sellout in Hartford was later changed to a non-sellout.

According to the band’s website, Genesis-Music.com, the band sold out the September 18th show at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and the October 2nd show at the United Center in Chicago. Shows were added in both cities on the following nights.

The Philadelphia and Chicago shows are the only two the band has recorded thus far. Genesis reported the September 16th show at the Hartford Civic Center as being sold out but changed that status a couple of days later.

Tour publicist Lauren Ceradini, with the PR firm Rogers & Cowan, did not return a call for comment by press time.

Ticket sales for the Genesis tour have started slowly, especially when compared to sales of the other big reunion tour this year, The Police. Genesis is playing fewer dates, and the tour is starting later in the year than that of The Police, so the window for sales is longer, which means most of the shows will likely sell out.
