The next incarnation of the annual Hotel Cafe Tour is ready to begin its fall circuit across the U.S. The tour kicks off with an October 9 performance at the Soho Restaurant in Santa Barbara, CA, and ends November 18 at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

Folk rocker Meiko will appear on all dates of the tour, as more than one dozen additional performers fill out the remainder of the tour’s line-up. Featured artists and billing will rotate from city to city, with a total of five musicians billed for each night of the trek. The appearance of an unnamed “very special guest” is listed on the tour’s official Web site for seven major markets along the way.

In addition to Meiko, the line-up includes solo performances by Rachael Yamagata, Ingrid Michaelson, Priscilla Ahn, Lenka, Brooke Frasier and Thao Nguyen (from Thao with the Get Down Stay Down).

It is the fourth year for the Hotel Cafe Tour, which originated at the Hotel Cafe, located in Los Angeles, CA. The venue, known for booking major artists alongside up-and-comers, took its show on the road at the suggestion of musician Cary Brothers. The fall leg of the tour includes a stop at the Hotel Cafe on October 10.

Earlier in 2008, participating musicians hit all the major markets across the U.S. before trekking overseas for 20 gigs across the UK and continental Europe. Brothers performed on all dates of the 2008 tour’s first leg, which included performances by Joshua Radin and Sara Bareilles.
