Blues-rock singer Joe Cocker will be heading out on the North American tour trail in a month for his latest batch of spring and summer concerts. The outing kicks off April 17 at St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, FL, and is booked through July 18 at Botanic Garden in Memphis, TN.
More than 40 concerts are planned for the coast-to-coast circuit, which will also cross over the border for five shows in Canada. Two-night stands are set for May 1-2 at Casino Rama Entertainment Centre in Rama, ON; May 8-9 at Island Resort & Casino in Harris, MI; and May 11-12 at Northern Lights Theater in Milwaukee, WI, among other gig stops.
Cocker is continuing to support his most recent studio album “Hymn for My Soul.” Following the record’s May 2008 release, the performer launched a four-month tour across the U.S. and Canada, which ran from late May through early August.
The English singer rose to fame in the late 1960s and early ’70s with his cover versions of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends,” Traffic’s “Feelin’ Alright” and Billy Preston’s “You Are So Beautiful.” Over the years, Cocker has released nearly two dozen albums.
