Fishbone and Supersuckers will headline the ninth annual Joey Ramone Birthday Bash at The Fillmore at Irving Paza in New York, NY, on May 19. However, the real star may be a special sneak preview of rough mixes of never-before-heard Ramone solo tracks. An album is due later this year.

Tickets are priced at $25 in advance ($30 day of show) and are available at the Fillmore box office or through Live Nation.

Ramone would have been 58 this year. The iconic Ramones frontman died in April 2001, shortly before his 50th birthday, after a seven-year battle with lymphoma.

The tribute party concludes with a performance by The Friends of Joey, featuring Richie Ramone, Handsome Dick Manitoba, Jean Beauvoir, Ivan Julian, George Tabb, Al Maddy and Mickey Leigh. Other artists performing include Death and Rough Francis, Uncle Monk (featuring Tommy Ramone), Bebe Buell, and Tom Clark & The High Action Boys.

Matt Pinfield and Peter Aschner are the emcees. The evening will also feature Ramones songs performed on a steel drum and bagpipes.
