The Kanye West Foundation is holding its second Stay in School benefit concert on June 11 at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL. The charity’s mission is to help kids to stay in school and combat high dropout rates across the country. Tickets go on sale on May 21 and are priced from $49.50 to $500 for the VIP Reception.

“I have always had the desire to help people and make the world a better place. I believe that youth are the music for creating a world filled with harmony,” said performer Kayne West in a statement. “To create such a world, however, we must all do our part.”

The Kayne West Foundation was founded in 2007 by the late Dr. Donda West, Kayne’s mother, who died later that year. In 2008, Kanye West announced the foundation’s honorary name-change to the Dr. Donda West Foundation in memory of his mother’s philanthropic efforts. This is the first major event for the foundation since Dr. West’s death, and Kanye has donated his time for the event.

“I want to thank the Kanye West Foundation for supporting the Chicago Public Schools and encouraging our students to stay in school and graduate,” added Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. “Education is the key to our children’s future and by working together we can continue the progress we’ve made by producing graduates who are prepared for jobs and the global economy.”

Students who have improved their attendance records or grades within the last quarter of the current school year will be eligible for free concert tickets to the event.
