With the release of her second studio album just around the corner, singer-songwriter Kate Voegele is preparing to launch her second headlining tour, as well. The Myspace Records musician will kick off her Lift Me Up Tour on April 24 at Club Sound in Salt Lake City, UT, and continue on the road through a June 11 concert at Neumo’s in Seattle, WA.

The 35-date trek will hit cities from coast-to-coast across the United States. Highlights include a May 1 concert at Park West in Chicago, IL, a May 13 show at HighLine Ballroom in New York, NY, a May 29 gig at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX, and a June 5 performance at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Up-and-coming musician Angel Taylor will provide support throughout the tour, with singer-songwriter Brannon Powers also appearing on the billing for Voegele’s concerts from May 12 through May 28.

Voegele is touring in support of her sophomore release, “A Fine Mess,” which is scheduled for release in May. Her full-length studio debut, “Don’t Look Away,” hit stores in 2007 but was re-released with extra tracks and deluxe features in 2008. The effort peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200 and hit No. 7 on the independent albums chart.
