Since her major label debut four years ago, R&B artist Keyshia Cole has maintained a steady course towards mainstream success. This year, the young singer-songwriter continues her journey with a new headlining tour of the U.S.

Currently set at 19 dates, the trek kicks off May 13 at Procter & Gamble Hall in Cincinnati, OH, and ends June 21 at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV. Highlights include a May 15 concert at Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL, a May 24 concert at WaMu Theatre in New York, NY, and a June 14 at Reliant Arena in Houston, TX.

R&B singers Bobby V and Keri Hilson are scheduled to open for the duration of the upcoming tour. Both artists released solo albums this year: Hilson’s debut “In a Perfect World” dropped on March 24, preceded in February by Bobby V’s third effort “The Rebirth.”

Cole is touring behind her third studio album, “A Different Me,” which hit stores in December 2008. The record debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was RIAA-certified Gold just three months after its release.

“The first two albums were more…painful,” Cole described the album in a November 2008 interview with Billboard. “It’s a different me this time: a young woman who’s still growing and finding myself, exploring life through different routes musically and in other areas. …I’m moving forward.”

Cole debuted in 2005 with “The Way It Is,” an effort she followed with 2007’s “Just Like You.” Both albums charted within the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and have since been certified Platinum.
