To help those international markets that have been hit hard by the global recession, Live Nation has launched the Artist Music Exchange. The exchange is offering discounted tickets to shows in the central European countries of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

A limited number of tickets for all shows will be available for only €15 ($21).

“These areas have been hit very hard with the economy so it made sense to launch in central Europe,” Shane Bourbonnais, Live Nation’s president of Talent, Live Music International, told TicketNews. “We will look at how the program is received and then decide if it will expand.”

Bourbonnais said that all of the artists they asked to participate in their new Artist Music Exchange ticketing program have agreed, including Lenny Kravitz, Mötley Crüe, Nine Inch Nails, Limp Bizkit and David Byrne.

“When picking the artists, we looked at acts that have shows coming up in the summer,” he said.
