Award-winning country music star Martina McBride’s Waking Up Laughing Tour kicks off on July 11 in Clarkston, MI and winds down on October 18 in Red Wing, MN with 31 shows booked to date. Jack Ingram, who opened her arena tour earlier this year, will once again be the special guest while newcomers Chris Young (through August 30) and Jason Michael Carroll (September 19-October 11) taking turns in the opening slot.

“This is the first time I have headlined an amphitheater tour,” McBride said in a statement, “and we are really excited to be working with Brian O’Connell and Live Nation.”

O’Connell just wrapped Tim McGraw’s tour.

Released in April 2007, McBride’s record, “Waking Up Laughing,” stole critic’s hearts and introduced the smash hit “Anyway,” which was nominated for three CMA Awards and CMT Music Awards Female Video of the Year. Throughout her career, McBride’s angelic voice and powerful delivery have helped her sell over 16 million albums.
