After a hefty assortment of summer performances, Hasidic reggae singer Matisyahu will head out again this fall with another round of headlining concerts in North America.

The seven-week outing begins October 17 at Flames Central in Calgary, AB, and concludes December 8 at Main Street Armory in Rochester, NY. Along the way, Matisyahu will also stop for gigs on October 22 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA; November 3 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; November 15 at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC; November 25 at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC; and December 7 at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, MI.

Dub Trio will join the tour as part of Matisyahu’s backing band, but the group is also listed as the opener for select concerts, according to the singer’s official Web site. Moon Taxi, Trevor Hall and SOJA will also support on separate stints of the North American trek.

Matisyahu is promoting his third studio album, “Light,” which dropped on August 25. The effort peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 and is his first full-length record since the release of 2006’s Gold-certified record, “Youth.”

The New York-based performer was on the road for a good part of the summer, leading up to the release of his new album. In all, he performed more than 30 concerts from May through July, which were a mix of supporting and headlining dates, solo sets, and festival performances.

This year will also end on a similar note to last year, when Matisyahu also launched an extensive North American club tour.
