When a vocal chord cyst forced Meat Loaf to cancel 11 European concerts late last year, the singer and multi-instrumentalist promised he would be back. Now after recovering and completing a summer of European shows, the rocker is continuing his return to touring with an upcoming U.S. trek.

The eight-show Casa de Carne Tour kicks off October 17 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL, and continues through an October 31 gig at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA, before taking a break from the road. Meat Loaf will return in early December to complete the journey with a December 5 show at Asbury Park Convention Hall in Asbury, NJ, and a December 6 performance at United Palace Theatre in New York, NY.

Tickets for the October performances are already available, and public on-sales for the December shows begin October 18. Meet and Greet and Premium Ticket packages are currently available for the December dates, as well, and include reserved seating and tour merchandise. The Meet and Greet package also includes a backstage tour and photo opportunity with Meat Loaf, according to his official Web site.

Meat Loaf is supporting the final chapter of his “Bat out of Hell” trilogy, titled “The Monster is Loose.” The Gold-certified record was released in 2006 — about 30 years after the 14-time Multi-Platinum original, and 13 years after the musical saga’s five-time Multi-Platinum second act, “Back Into Hell.”
