Contemporary Christian music stars Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman are teaming up for a new round of tour dates this spring. The United Tour kicks off March 28 at Abba’s House in Chattanooga, TN, and ends April 30 at Carson Four Rivers Center in Paducah, KY.

The 24-city trek will complete a coast-to-coast circuit across the U.S. Highlights include an April 2 concert at The Hippodrome in Baltimore, MD, an April 9 performance at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, CA, an April 19 show at Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock, AR, and an April 28 gig at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.

This is the second leg of United dates for the two Grammy Award-winning performers. The original trek hit 20 cities in fall 2008, which included 14 sold-out concerts and a total audience of more than 50,000 people according to a statement from the musicians.

The fall 2008 outing was the first for Chapman since the tragic accidental death of his five-year-old daughter, Maria Sue, in May 2008. “This time on the road with my great friend and touring partner Michael was truly a gift,” he said on his Web site. “In this difficult season, I wasn’t sure how I would be able to do it. I’m grateful to all involved and look forward to the chance to join together again soon.”
