Neil Young‘s November 4 concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO, and November 5 concert at the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE have been postponed until spring. “Routing logistics” were cited as the cause by concert promoter Live Nation.

Tickets for the original performances will be honored for the rescheduled spring 2009 shows, which will be announced in the future. Death Cab for Cutie and Everest were scheduled to open for both of the postponed concerts.

The tour picks up November 29 at the Metro Centre in Halifax, NS, continuing through December 15-16 with a multiple-night engagement at Madison Square Garden in New York, followed by several appearances at the Big Day Out Festival in Australia, January 16-February 1.

Young is on tour supporting “Chrome Dreams II,” which dropped in October 2007. The classic rocker is also coming out with “Sugar Mountain Live At Canterbury House 1968” (Reprise) on November 25.

The two-night engagement at Canterbury House in Ann Arbor, MI , which he recorded on a TEAC 2 track tape recorder, came six months after his split from Buffalo Springfield as he embarked on a solo career. The 23-track album is part of the continuing Neil Young Archive Performance Series. The album, to be released as a CD/DVD set, includes chestnuts “Sugar Mountain,” “Mr. Soul,” “Expecting to Fly,” and “The Loner.”
