The House of Blues is situated where the former Landsdowne Street venues, the Avalon and Axis, used to be located. The complex consists of a 2,400 capacity concert hall, restaurant, store and VIP club. In the summer, the HoB’s traditional gospel brunch will begin.

The first Boston area House of Blues in opened in 1992 in Harvard Square in Cambridge. The very small club was sold in 2003, always with the intention of returning to Beantown, but it took time to find the right space.

The Boston venue joins a family of 12 other House of Blues clubs in Anaheim, CA; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Atlantic City, NJ; Myrtle Beach, SC; New Orleans, LA; and Orlando, FL.
