Singer-songwriter and producer Paul Anka’s two-show engagement at the Capital One Bank Theatre in Westbury on Long Island, November 14-15, has been downsized to just one night on November 15. “Scheduling conflicts” have been cited as the cause for the November 14 cancellation.

Ticketholders who purchased their tickets at the box office or at a Ticketmaster outlet for the November 14 show can exchange their tickets for best available seating for the November 15 at the place of purchase or at the Westbury box office prior to November 2.

Tickets purchased online or by phone for the November 14 show may be automatically credited, in which case new tickets must be purchased for the standing Westbury engagement. Tickets for the November 15 show have a face value starting at $61.50.

Now in his 50th year of show business, Anka has recorded over 120 albums in a wide variety of languages, selling close to 50 million worldwide and landing three No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100: “Diana,” “Lonely Boy” and “(You’re) Having My Baby.” Over the years, Anka has penned numerous hits for other artists. His 900-song catalog includes such titles as “She’s a Lady” (Tom Jones), “Puppy Love” (Donny Osmond), “It Doesn’t Matter Any More” (Buddy Holly) and “Teddy” (Connie Francis).

This past June, Anka received the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award at the 2008 Songwriters Hall of Fame event. The award is exclusively reserved for a songwriter who has already been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in a prior year, and whose body of work upholds the gold standard set by the legendary Johnny Mercer.

Anka currently has concert dates through December 21.
