Ten down and 11 to go… Prince has rolled out the latest dates for his “21 nite stand” in the greater Los Angeles area.

The musician this week announced three more concerts — May 5, 6 and 7 — for the residency that is part of his larger Welcome 2 America Tour. This week’s three events will all go down at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, which hosted the Purple One’s previous “stands.”

Also keeping in line with those shows, ticket prices will begin at $25 and reach up to $179. Public ticket sales began at 12 p.m. PDT on May 2, shortly after the concerts were revealed.

When Prince first announced his intention to play a lengthy series of shows in the West Coast metropolis, he made clear that he wanted the majority of tickets to be affordable. A full 85 percent of tickets to the “21 nite stand” events are set at the low $25 level and carry no additional fees.

The eccentric and eclectic artist has also stayed the course by continuing to select The Forum for his short-notice shows. He has played the iconic venue since the “21 nite stand” kicked off April 14 and continued there with shows on April 21-23 and 28-30.

After the curtain goes down on this week’s shows, Prince will still have 11 more gigs to announce for Los Angeles. The production is expected to stay at The Forum for all 21 nights of the run, but the actual destination for each concert is in the hands of the artist, who has remained spontaneous throughout the various planning and announcement phases of the Welcome 2 America Tour.

In a late April interview with Billboard, Live Nation’s co-president of North America concerts stated, “We will do 21 shows in the L.A. area, and we expect they’ll be played out in the Forum. But it is up to Prince how we do it. We are taking direction, not giving direction.”

The Welcome 2 America production has already rolled through New York City, Oakland and North and South Carolina.
