Former Kinks frontman Ray Davies is enjoying life as a “Working Man.” The iconic performer has announced an additional 12-city headlining tour of the U.S. to follow up his earlier special acoustic sets, which took him across Canada and down the West Coast in July.

The East Coast jaunt begins November 28 at Tampa Theatre in Tampa, FL, and continues through a December gig at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park. Highlights along the way include a December 2 show at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA, a December 8 concert at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, and a December 12 performance at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY.

Pop rock group Locksley will support Davies on all dates of the tour. The band, touring behind the 2008 rerelease of the album “Don’t Make Me Wait,” recently completed a stint with MTV’s politically themed “Choose or Lose” tour. The rockers have also opened for the likes of Hanson, OK Go, The Dandy Warhols and Rooney, among others.

Davies is touring behind “Working Man’s Café,” his second solo album since the Kinks parted ways in 1996. Released in October 2007, the record peaked at No. 140 on the Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on the Heatseekers chart for up-and-coming musical acts. His 2006 debut, “Other People’s Lives,” peaked at No. 122 and 2 on the same charts, respectively.
