Rush will kick off its 2008 Snakes & Arrows World Tour with the band’s first-ever appearance in San Juan, Puerto Rico April 11. The Canadian trio will perform in more than 45 cities throughout North America, winding down in Atlanta, GA on July 22, according to promoter Live Nation. This will be the first time in more than a decade that the band will make stops in Orlando, Oklahoma City, OK, New Orleans, Reno, NV, Moline, IL, Boise, ID, Austin, TX, Jacksonville, FL, and Winnipeg, MB, to name a few.

The first round of tickets go on sale for New Orleans, Reno, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver and Detroit on Jan 26. American Express Cardmembers will also have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets Jan. 26-Feb. 1 for shows in Boston; Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, Holmdel, NJ, and Wantagh, NY; and Jan. 27-Feb 2 in Los Angeles and Irvine. In addition, there will be a Musictoday fan club presale for all Rush performances in conjunction with Rush.com on Jan. 22-24.

A “Snakes & Arrows Live” CD will be released sometime in April. The track “Malignant Narcissism” from the band’s 2007 release “Snakes & Arrow” (Anthem/Atlantic) has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
