In support of her upcoming CD, “SoL-AngeL and the Hadley St. Dreams,” due for release August 26 on Music World Entertainment/Geffen Records, singer/songwriter Solange Knowles, AKA SoL-AngeL, is currently out on tour with Raheem DeVaughan and Chrisette Michele for a six-week Art of Love tour that ends June 22 in Miami, FL.

“SoL-AngeL and The Hadley Street Dreams” features a dream-team of hot producers and songwriters that include: Grammy winner Mark Ronson, Pharrell, Q-Tip, Lamont Dozier, Soul Shock, Jack Splash, Lil Wayne, Boards of Canada, Bilal and Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry. The album is a sample of Solange’s artistic and creative approach to music. The innovative Melina-directed video for the first single, “I Decided,” will premiere on June 5 on BET’s “Access Granted” and via online at Yahoo Music. Both the original and the Freemasons versions of “I Decided” are available on iTunes.

Knowles is classically trained in ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance. As a back up dancer with Destiny’s Child, she had the opportunity to travel all around the world which helped her develop her eclectic taste for music. It was around that time that she developed her knack for the written word and began writing hit songs for film and television and for her debut album, “Solo Star.” She later garnered an impressive list of songwriting credits which include, co-writing Beyonce’s, “Get Me Bodied” and “Upgrade You” off her “B’Day album;” Kelly Rowland’s “Love” off of her second album; and Kelly and Michelle Williams’ latest single “We Break the Dawn.”
