Illness forced the postponement of Steely Dan‘s July 29 concert at New York’s Beacon Theatre. The concert has been rescheduled for August 12, at which time they will perform their classic album, “Gaucho.”

All tickets for the originally scheduled July 29 show will be honored on August 12. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase, where applicable.

As previously reported, New York is one of the select cities on Steely Dan’s Rent Party ’09 Tour where the duo are performing some albums in its entirety. Wednesday’s postponed performance was part of Steely Dan’s first four-night run at the theater, booked for July 28-29, 31 and August 1. A second stand was added at the Beacon during June onsales and is coming up on August 3-4 and 10-11.

Barring any further health issues, their July 31 Beacon show is still on with special guest Larry Carlton sitting in to help recreate his magic on the group’s classic 1976 album “The Royal Scam,” as well as Internet Request Night on August 1.
