Celine Dion is a pop singer from Quebec, Canada, who has featured prominently on the U.S. charts since the early 1990s. Her fame as a vocalist his its peak later that decade when the song “My Heart Will Go On” was featured in the international blockbuster “Titanic” and topped the Billboard charts for weeks.
When her radio appeal began to wane, Dion gave her career a jumpstart by signing a major contract for a multi-year, 600-show residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. After her initial three years at the venue proved wildly successful, Dion’s contract was extended to five years and ended in 2007. During this time, she continued to record and found a resurgence in popularity on the U.S. and international charts. She launched a year-long tour of the world in 2008 and proved that she could still be a top ticket seller away from the Vegas Strip.
