Celtic Woman is an Irish quintet consisting of four vocalists (currently Chloë Agnew, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly and Alex Sharpe) and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt. The group was formed in 2004 by executive producer Dave Kavanagh and musical director/composer David Downes (who is well known for his work on “Riverdance”). Since its founding, Celtic Woman has been a resounding success all over the world. Between their Christmas CD, “A Christmas Celebration,” and their “A New Journey” CD, the group has been #1 on the Billboard World Music charts a whopping 95 weeks in a row.

Celtic Woman has performed all over the world, including four tours in the U.S. Their most recent American tour, the 2009 Isle of Hope Tour, encompassed 72 cities and lasted almost five months. Just after the completion of that tour in July 2009, they announced an additional set of performances, which includes an additional 35 concerts in the fall of 2009.
