American pop artist Christina Aguilera got her start in 1990 on Ed McMahon’s “Star Search” TV show, then later went on the become a Mouseketeer on “The New Mickey Mouse Club” TV series, where other famous musicians got their start, like Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, and JC Chasez from N’Sync. After singing “Reflection” for Disney’s film “Mulan,” Aguilera was signed to RCA Records. When she’s not entertaining millions with her R&B style, Aguilera has committed a considerable amount of free time to philanthropy for human rights issues.
Despite a challenging childhood, in which she was ostracized for her musical talent by her peers and lived with an abusive father, Aguilera went on to become one of the most successful artists of the 2000’s. She has won four Grammy Awards and a Latin Grammy Award, including ones for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” and “Best New Artist.” Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Whitney Huston have been listed among her biggest influences.
