Opened prior to the 2009 season, Citi Field is the new home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. Replacing the old Shea Stadium, Citi Field will go a long way to helping fans forget their former stadium which was known by many as the worst in baseball. With seating capacity of more than 42,000, the new ballpark offers some great new features for fans.
When they enter the park they will experience the new Jackie Robinson Rotunda which pays tribute to the man who broke baseball’s color barrier. Ticket holders also get have fun just outside center field at the 2K Sports FanFest area where people can play wiffleball, hit in a batting cage and much more. In 2013, Major League Baseball will put the new stadium on display when it plays host to the 2013 MLB All-Star Game and festivities.
