Dave Matthews Band, often referred to simply as DMB, is an American jam band blending elements of jazz fusion and rock music. The band was co-founded in 1991 by vocalist-guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, saxophonist LeRoi Moore, violinist Boyd Tinsley, and drummer Carter Beauford. In August 2008, Moore died due to complications from an ATV accident earlier in the summer.

Since the breakthrough debut “Under the Table and Dreaming” in 1994, DMB has sold more than 31 albums in the United States, placing the band well within the top 100 of the country’s best-selling artists. Over the years, the band has become a staple of the summer touring industry with its annual outings and repeat fan base.
