Iconic classic band Fleetwood Mac has undergone various personnel changes, and fluctuating periods of critical and commercial success over the course of its four-decade career. Formed in 1967, the crew is best known for its lineup of singer Stevie Nicks, drummer Mick Fleetwood, bassist John McVie, guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and former keyboardist Christine McVie. Driven by the continued popularity of albums such as 1977’s “Rumours,” Fleetwood Mac is in position as one of the best selling artists ever, having sold more than 48.5 million records according to the RIAA.
Due to the band’s popularity, ticket sales have been strong for their various tours around the world. However, acrimony within the group have increased the rareness of such outings. Late in 2008, Fleetwood Mac announced that it would hit the road in spring 2009 for its first tour in about five years. As ticket sales began for the tour, the band quickly placed on TicketNews’s exclusive weekly events rankings.
