Jackson Browne is a noted American singer-songwriter who has been active since his eponymous 1972 debut. Though he releases new music at a fairly regular interval, his best-selling effort remains “Running on Empty,” the live, seven-time multi-Platinum record released in 1977. In recent years, Browne has become more politically active, especially with various social and environmental issues. His most recent tour for the 2008 release “Time the Conquerer” completed several turns around North America and the world, primarily booked into amphitheaters during the summer season and large theaters.
