Singer-songwriter Steven Patrick Morrissey, better known simply as Morrissey, has been a cult music icon since his turn in the 1980s as lead singer of The Smiths. After that group dissolved in ’87, Morrissey immediately jumped into a solo career, propelled by the critical acclaim his lyrics for The Smiths received.

From his 1988 solo debut through his 2009 offering “Years of Refusal,” Morrissey has released 10 full-length solo records, winning acclaim for his songwriting and stirring controversy with his outspoken nature. He also remains a key figure in indie music and draws audiences of all ages when he tours clubs and theaters across North America and Europe.
