Ray LaMontagne, who was born June 18th 1974, is an American singer-songwriter, who has released three albums, “Trouble”, “Till the Sun Turns Black”, and “Gossip in the Grain” all of which have been on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart. Ray LaMontagne has performed at charitable events such as From the Big Apple to the Big Easy, for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Warren Haynes Christmas Jam for Habitat for Humanity, as well as auctioning off one of his guitars, funding breast cancer research.

He has been nominated and received many awards, including eight nominations and three wins from the Boston Music Awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Singer/Songwriter, among others. He has also received six other nominations and two other wins for such awards as Acoustic Rock Artist of the Year from XM Nation Awards and Best Voice from Esky Music Awards.
