Home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers basketball teams, the Staples Center is Los Angeles’s premier indoor arena. It can hold about 20,000 fans for concerts and boxing matches, and roughly 1,000 fewer people for basketball and ice hockey games. The facility is owned by L.A. Arena Company and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), one of the nation’s largest concert and live entertainment promoters.
In addition to the Clippers and Lakers, the Staples Center is also home to the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, and the Los Angeles Sparks women’s basketball team.
The Staples Center also hosts major popular music concerts by the likes of Britney Spears, Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
